Evolving Management Solutions (EMS), a company that specialises in access control and asset management, has signed an exclusive SA distribution deal with Friendly Technologies, an Israeli-based company that designs develops and markets client server software solutions for dial-up and broadband Internet.
Friendly Technologies offers solutions to ISPs, Telcos, CLECs, cable providers, fixed wireless providers, virtual ISPs, and affinity groups.
Explaining the reason for entering the field of connectivity, Steve Mason, Marketing Director at EMS, says that no other company on the SA market has the range of modular solutions that Friendly Technologies offers. "Most companies will give roundabout business reasons for moving into another area of technology. Ours is simply recognising the profit potential Friendly Technologies has to offer but on the other hand they would not have appointed EMS if we did not have the skills to support their products," he says.
Danny Lior, Director Market Development at Friendly Technologies in the US, says EMS was chosen to represent it in SA because of its association with Mvision in the UK. "Mvision has a strong reputation in the UK and the fact that EMS is co-owned by the company gave us the confidence to appoint EMS in Africa," says Lior.
Friendly Technologies offers modular solutions for:
* Broadband and dial-up connectivity software.
* Acquisition of new subscribers.
* Automatic problem resolution (APR) of Internet-related problems.
* QoS Monitoring of subscriber's Internet experience.
* Messaging and advertising.
In addition, the company provides a full solution that includes a smart agent on the subscriber's PC and three server software applications at the provider's side.
