Yale smoke detector

2 February 2012 Fire & Safety

The Yale Smoke Detector is a battery operated device, 9 V battery included, which enables it to be easily installed (DIY) in any room without the hassles of running wires, calling an electrician or a handyman.

Should the battery run low, there is also an integrated LED light that will flash to indicate that the battery needs replacement. Operating on photo-electric technology, this means the detector monitors any breaks in light. This ensures effective detection of all types of smoke.

Once the smoke has been detected, the extremely loud 80 dB internal siren automatically sounds to notify the occupant/s of the ensued potential danger.
