Hikvision has launched its newest high-definition standalone series of DVRs: the DS-8100HWI-ST series. With the capability of accessing analogue cameras up to 650TVL, the DVR is aimed at applications in which HD surveillance is required. Venues such as financial institutions, the telecom industry, as well as transportation and utilities industries, all directly benefit from this new DVR series.
This series of DVRs includes Texas Instruments’ Netra high performance embedded platform. This platform allows enhanced video recording stability and real-time video encoding capability at a resolution of WD1 (PAL: 960x576/NTSC: 960x480). Furthermore, it supports multichannel synchronous playback, as well as simultaneous HDMI and VGA output at 1920x1080 resolution. In addition, HDD group management technology is adopted to maximise storage space, redundant recording and eSATA high-speed backup are also supported. The units meet a variety of network surveillance needs, including a self-adaptive 10/100/1000Mbps network interface, which is useful for large-scale surveillance applications. Users also benefit from the DS-8100HWI-ST’s user-friendly interface.
