Time and attendance solution provider, ERS Biometrics and biometric hardware supplier, ZKSoftware, have partnered in the design of access control and time and attendance fingerprint identification systems that are geared for the tougher, dirtier working environments found in the industrial and mining sectors of South Africa and Africa.
Delme Hawkins, head of sales at ERS and Hendrik Combrinck, GM of ZKSoftware, agree that an association started late last year which has seen strong growth in installations of the SmartScan multimedia devices throughout SA and indeed, in many parts of Africa, has now consolidated into a fully-fledged partnership.
Hawkins says that “with years of experience in the time and attendance and access control sectors, we have defined specifications on what should be available in a hardware system that would meet customer and own requirements. ZKSoftware’s design resources enable flexibility to develop features within the devices to make it specifically Africa user-friendly.”
