The DDN S2A6620 unit provides all of this in a compact 4U solution (60HDDs) or 8U solution (120HDDs). This unit can deliver a whopping 2 GBps (16 Gbps) throughput and is scalable from as small as 2 TB right up to 360 TB. It provides RAID 1/5/6 for redundancy on any type and size of HDD. This allows you to scale from maybe a 2 TB SATA HDD cluster to 3 TB SAS HDDs as well as SSDs all at once.
All major components are hot swappable such as the active/active fibre raid controllers, redundant PSUs, SAS expansion cards and HDDs. This enables the unit to guarantee zero downtime for reliability. DDN caters for large-scale projects and presents itself in an enterprise environment as the only solution in its class.
