The Kollector digital security station from Vicon Industries was recently installed at the Moor Park Golf Club, considered to be one of the finest golf courses in England.
The Kollector range of digital recorders are standalone or reworkable. By using a sophisticated compression engine, they provide extended continuous record times. Kollector can record from 16 cameras simultaneously and allows instant recall of saved images both locally and across a network. It has connections to alarm sensors and alarm relays.
The Kollector stores its video on a 45 Gb hard drive. Additional drives can be added for further extended recording. It also acts as a powerful multiplexer. Live or recorded video is viewed through a PC monitor, either locally or over a network using a special viewer software. Video scenes can be exported easily from the system in standard JPEG format onto a floppy disk or a network drive for e-mail delivery.
The installation was performed by Park House Integrated Systems who have also supplied the club with Vicon's Surveyor 2000 dome cameras as well as the company's pan and tilts.
