The Board of Business Against Crime South Africa (BACSA) is pleased to announce the following changes effective 1 June 2011:
* Ms Yedwa Simelane, currently joint deputy chairperson with Siphiwe Nzimande, has been appointed independent non-executive chairperson of the board. Yedwa succeeds Mark Lamberti, who resigned on 1 June 2011 having served with distinction as an independent non-executive director since November 2006 and as chairperson of the Board, Strategy Committee and Remunerations Committee since November 2007.
* Roy Andersen, who has served as an independent non-executive director since November 2006 has been appointed joint deputy chairperson.
* Messrs Simon Susman, Brand Pretorius and Russell Loubser have been appointed to the Board as independent non-executive directors.
* Thami Kamanga has been appointed to the Board as the provincial representative for KwaZulu-Natal.
The Board welcomes the new office bearers and members, and thanks Lamberti for his leadership and ever-available wise counsel over the past five years.
All members of the BACSA Board, apart from the CEO, serve ex gratia.
