The Yale Fire Safe has been created to protect valuables during any type of fire and ensures up to one hour fire protection for documents. This 53 kg safe, with dimensions of 410 mm x 300 mm x 300 mm, has a re-settable user defined 3–12 digit user code. It also boasts a one-time user code. (This function is perfect for visiting guests who wish to use the safe for a short period of time.) Not only does it boast the one-time user code, but also has a ‘fake pin function’. This allows the user to insert random numbers prior to the correct pin in case there is an onlooker viewing the user whilst opening the safe.
If the user wishes to access their safe without anyone knowing, the Yale Fire Safe has a silent function, allowing the user to operate the pin code facility with only the touchpad lighting up. If the pin code is incorrectly entered three times, it then enters a ‘time lock’ out session, this period can be preset by the user, from three to nine minutes, indicating the amount of time that the safe will lock the user out. It also has a ‘lock-down period’ which can be set from one to 48 hours. This function shuts the safe down and therefore cannot be activated for a given period, which is ideal when people are entering your property while you are away eg, on holiday or on a business trip.
In addition to the abovementioned attributes, the safe also features low battery warning, emergency battery override and a reset button.
