Suprema recently unveiled X-Station, an RFID-based IP access control and time and attendance terminal with 3,5-inch touch-screen LCD and built-in camera for face detection. X-Station is designed to increase the level of security by detecting and capturing human face images after card/PIN authorisation. It curbs unauthorised access attempts as well as possible payroll fraud like buddy-clocking, providing an effective workforce management solution.
X-Station’s smartphone style graphic user interface offers usability and convenience. It stores users and face-image logs in internal flash memory and can send the image logs to a server through its TCP/IP interface.
In addition, X-Station is fully compatible with BioStar Software and SDK. BioStar is Suprema’s IP-based distributed access control management system.
X-Station is available in a 13,56 MHz Mifare card version, with the 125 kHz EM card version expected to be launched soon.
With the introduction of the X-Station IP access terminal, Suprema now offers a line-up of biometric and RFID products from simple IP readers to industry-leading multimodal (fingerprint and face) biometric terminals which can all be implemented in a multimodel device configuration.
