IPCCTV has released the Hunter Thermal protection system, a bulletproof thermal enabled personal protection system.
The Hunter system is set to change suspect apprehension on foot or in a vehicle. The thermal system allows the user to survey a wide area from a distance, without having to be placed in immediate danger, the system has an effective coverage area of about 1 km, using a 19 mm lens providing a wide field of view. The user simply points and views the image via a 7 inch high contrast monitor mounted in front of the bullet-proof vest.
The system sports more than six hours continuous use from a single charge and spare batteries are easily swapped out for extra run time. The system provides various pockets and spaces for all the accessories an official needs to do his job ie, a holster for standard issue pistol, a spare clip pouch, a handcuff pouch and a radio pouch. There are several options that can be added to the hunter system if needed, such as video recording and GPS location.
