Integrates video and audio encoding and data transmission technologies.

Infinova has announced its new V2512-K Series 4-Port network video server (NVS). A new network video encoder, the V2512-K NVS integrates video and audio encoding and data transmission technologies, and can be widely used for security applications in buildings, traffic systems, power plants and other applications.

“To help Infinova integrators provide a wide variety of surveillance solutions, the V2512-K Series NVS provides them and their users with a powerful remote network control function,” emphasises Mark S. Wilson, Infinova vice president, marketing. “With it, they can configure IP addresses, subnet masks, gateway and video encoding parameters, including preset-encoding, data transmission rates and video quality of the video server via web server or client-end software.”

The V2512-K series NVS adopts a digital signal processing (DSP) technology while a standalone module, the V2511-K Series, provides real-time encoding of four video inputs (D1/2CIF/CIF/QCIF optional) with support of H.264/M-JPEG video encoding formats, two-way audio, motion detection and alarm input/output. A multicasting function enables delivery of live video to multiple video receiving terminals simultaneously. The V2512-K series NVS is designed as a chassis solution with blades that support plug-and-play technology. A single chassis accommodates a maximum of 17 encoder cards giving users 68 ports in total.
