Motorola's Commercial, Government and Industrial Solutions (CGIS) Sector recently released the first public safety motorcycle radio, the MTM300, available with both data connectivity and encryption.
The motorcycle radio has been developed with input and testing from a number of prestigious public safety organisations in Europe to create a flexible product, which supports the growing demand for customer specific solutions. Operational requirements for public safety communications vary considerably throughout the TETRA market, with significant levels of customisation required to interface to the various motorcycle, helmet, speaker and microphone brands. The Motorola MTM300 addresses this with the provision of an open interface designed to support this requirement for tailored solutions.
The radio supports all standard TETRA features including group, individual, interconnect and emergency alarm/call, status messaging and direct mode (DMO).
