Regal has released a new high-resolution varifocal covert camera in the form of a reflective mirror. The CC168 incorporates the Sony Super HAD CCD II with a horizontal resolution of 550 TVL and a minimum illumination of only 0,3 Lux. This means that only 0,3 Lux, equivocal to a scene of slightly brighter than a full moon, needs to reach the CCD for a perfect picture.
The CC168 is equipped with a 3,7 mm to 12 mm varifocal, auto-iris lens able to provide for most indoor environments even with fluctuating light conditions. The cable-managed 3D Axis bracket means this camera can be wall or ceiling-mounted at varying angles with the added advantage of ensuring that no wires are exposed to vandalism. A further variant is available from Regal in the form of the CC167 which is a fixed focal (4,3 mm general observation lens) in a square housing but also incorporating the high resolution Sony Super HAD CCD II photo-electric component.
