South Africa’s business equivalent of the Oscars, the African Access National Business Awards (AANBA), has recognised Elvey Security Technologies as one of the country’s top companies for 2010.
A finalist in both the ‘Innovation through Technology’ and ‘Customer Focus’ categories, Elvey achieved finalist status ahead of a hotly contested and sizeable field of entrants.
Hosted by the SA’s Top Performing Companies publication in association with Topco Media, the AANBA, now in its eighth year, recently took place in the opulent ballroom of the Sandton Convention Centre.
Elvey CEO Jack Edery said he was delighted at the company having been chosen as a finalist, the more so in two different and exacting categories: “As one of five finalists in the Innovation through Technology category, Elvey met AANBA’s rigorous selection criteria, which required companies to have the technology-based innovation capable of improving productivity and enhancing the competitiveness of the country’s economy. When one considers that the awards recognise the success, innovation and ethics of companies and organisations across all industry sectors, I have to say that I am unreservedly proud of our team.”
In its entry, Elvey showcased SureConnect or the 'Secured Super Highway', as it is often referred to. Explains Edery: “SureConnect makes it possible for people to achieve greater control over all aspects of their lives, as long as they have a cellphone or computer linked to a SIM card-enabled or networked security system.”
