The new Vivotek 2 Megapixel camera is a professional-series fixed network camera that features good image quality, but also exceptional bandwidth efficiency. This is done by making use of not only the standard MPEG4/MJPEG codecs found in most IP cameras, but also the newer and more efficient H.264 codec as well. This means that you can have all the quality that Megapixel offers, without the large bandwidth requirements that are usually associated with it.
Users can pan/tilt/zoom on the video feed without physically moving the camera, all due to the high resolution quality. The camera also has a built-in SD/SDHC card slot that offers a convenient and portable storage option to prevent data loss in case of network disconnection.
As with all Vivotek cameras, 32 Channel recording software is included as standard, which gives users a central recording and management facility, at no extra cost.
