The Samsung SCC-B2335P is an A1 chip camera that uses leading-edge, analogue video technology. It features 600 TV lines of resolution, wide dynamic range functionality, adaptive digital noise reduction and multilanguage on-screen display but it also offers built-in analytics for intelligent video tracking.
Analytics allows the camera to detect objects that have been left untouched for a preprogrammed period of time. This is critical for counter-terror management considering that bags and suitcases are often used by terrorists to conceal bombs. By flagging suspicious parcels, steps can be taken to check them out and render dangerous ones harmless.
Its high resolution will be a boon to the retail sector which depends on sharp imagery for effective point-of-sales monitoring and facial recognition. Using motion adaptive DNR, it can eliminate noise and greatly reduce motion blur for a clear and distinct image.
