QD Group has introduced new products to market. First off is a GPRS Communicator that promises to be a cost-effective system for the bi-directional transfer of alarm data from protected premises to a control room and/or a cellular phone. The GPRS Communicator is designed to have full contact ID reporting via a private APN on the MTN network and automatic SMS backup in the event of any problems on the GPRS network. There are no area coverage restrictions, no bandwidth constraints and it is modularised to be upgraded into any existing MCS control room system.
Next is a new design of the Codex five button remote. It has waterproof plastic casing, a lithium battery for 10 times longer life, an unbreakable keyring holder, and recessed buttons to prevent accidental operation.
The new range Codex receivers also use the most secure code hopping technology and are available in one, two or three channel configurations. They operate with up to 33 Codex transmitters and are aimed at any access control, garage doors, gates, panic systems or arming and disarming of security systems.
