Cyberoam has launched its enhanced CR range of unified threat management (UTM) appliances-CR 200i and CR 300i in South Africa.
The new appliances represent a combination of performance using multicore processor technology which allows Cyberoam security appliances to achieve high UTM throughputs in comparison to hardware-based ASIC solutions.
According to Abhilash Sonwane, VP-Product Management, “We are making this demand for breakthrough performance possible at low cost with Cyberoam’s enhanced multicore aware architecture that makes parallel execution of multiple network sessions possible. In addition, both appliances are equipped with dual-core processors that are responsible for enhanced performance.”
Cyberoam raised its hardware port density with 6 GBe ports. With high Firewall and IPS throughputs of 1,5 Gbps and more in addition to high Anti-Virus and UTM throughputs, these Cyberoam appliances deliver the rising performance requirements of small to medium customers.
Cyberoam range of appliances is distributed in South Africa by Channel Data.
