For the third consecutive year, Hikvision Digital Technology, headquartered in China, has been enlisted in Security 50, a market survey to recognise the top 50 security companies around the world by revenue. With the increase in revenue by $70 million from 2006 to 2007, a 68,5% growth rate, Hikvision is ranked 13 in 2008 Security 50, up from last year’s 21. The company is also ranked 2 in revenue growth among the 50 top security players, and 5 in 2008 Asia Security 25.
“Apart from the high-performance compression cards and DVRs, we have also launched numerous IP surveillance products, including megapixel network cameras and intelligent hybrid DVRs, to meet the requirements form various security applications and better serve the customers worldwide,” said Yangzhong Hu, president of Hikvision. “The ranking has definitely motivated us to develop more powerful and cost-effective surveillance products, as well as to arrange marketing activities to get closer to the market and customers, in order to maintain the achievement in Security 50.”
