The IP7251 is the newest addition to the Vivotek brand of network cameras incorporating Video Content Analysis by means of a digital signal processor (DSP). The Progressive Scan and DSP give users of the IP7251 three useful features: Tampering Detection, Moving Object Detection, and Loitering Detection on the camera itself.
Tampering Detection allows the camera to alert you when something has clearly gone wrong with the camera’s viewing site. Motion Detection sees the IP7251 distinguish between living creatures and moving objects in backgrounds or sceneries. Using its DSP processor the IP7152 can disregard motion caused by swaying trees or bushes, but immediately recognises when a person or an animal walks into the camera viewing site and starts recording.
Loitering Detection allows administrators to give certain areas a loitering timer in which they specify how long a person is allowed to stand in that area before the camera detects that they are loitering and raises an alert.
Users can also hear everything that happens at the camera site and via a microphone, speak back to the site.
