Notifier Fire Systems has introduced the XPIQ quad and intelligent audio transponder, an efficient and cost-effective, distributed, multichannel voice evacuation system.
The XPIQ is an integrated, multiple channel audio amplification and distribution subsystem remotely controlled by a fire alarm control panel through the signalling line circuit. It is completely compatible with all of Notifier's intelligent fire alarm panels.
By using a software program and internal switching capabilities, the XPIQ eliminates the need for relays and complex wiring during installation. As a result, the Notifier XPIQ handles all the switching easily with less wiring.
The Notifier XPIQ has a background music input terminal block which allows the same speaker system to be used for background music. It also includes a 10-position background music volume-control switch.
Other features include: up to four continuously supervised 25 W amplifiers; four amplifier slots; two independent user-configurable tone generators either for riser back-up or as a main tone source; and a serial port for configuration download from PC.
