The FDIA held its second AGM at the Fire Protection Association College in Jet Park, Boksburg.
With a turnout of 25, Secretary Owen Smit told the audience the achievements recorded during year 2000. Malcomb Leeder read the FDIA financial statements reflecting a healthy positive balance and Keith Norgate highlighted the objectives set for 2001 as well as introducing the new committee. The new committee members are:

Treasurer: Richard McClauglin, Sysman Systems
Registrar: Neil Hughes, FST
Public Relations: Mike Smyles, AFS
Training: Mike Wilkinson, AST
Members: Jim Grant, Chubb Systems Chris Cane, Minerva Brett Birch, Aritech; Matt Kielty, IFS.
Observers: Eric Hulley, SABS; Peter Davey, FPA.
