The Enforce Security Group announced recently that it had sold a 20% share of its subsidiary Enforce Guarding to black empowerment group Motseng Investment Holdings (MIH) for an undisclosed sum. The deal became effective on 1 January 2001 and was done through Motseng Security and Cleaning Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of MIH.
Enforce is one of the largest privately owned security companies in South Africa, whose services span guarding, electronic security, investigations and Whistle Blowers (in partnership with PricewaterhouseCoopers) for the corporate market and monitoring and armed response for the domestic market.
Motseng Security and Cleaning Services is a black-owned company involved in the supply and installation of CCTV security systems and commercial cleaning services.
In announcing the deal, John Keyter, Enforce Security Group Chief Executive, said the new partnership would add tremendous value to the group's corporate and marketing strategy and was in keeping with its vision of offering clients 'that much more'. Ipeleng Moloto and Sandile Nomvete, joint MDs of MIH, say " We are doing this deal for all the right reasons and we believe both companies will benefit from having each other as partners."
