Meissner launches diesel generators

October 2008 Infrastructure

Meissner has extended its product offering by launching a range of diesel generators to offer customers a complete and compatible standby power solution.

Meissner's Generator Division is being managed by Dave Warren, assisted by Marcel Hanekom. The Himoinsa range of generators imported from Spain, incorporate IVECO, Perkins, Scania and Volvo engines with Stamford alternators and as such are aimed at the more discerning customer for professional applications.

The Himoinsa diesel generators are designed to latest technology standards and built to meet client's expectations and environmental obligations. Despite this they are very competitively priced compared to similar products on the market.

Within six weeks of introducing the product to their customers Meissner received two orders. The first order valued at R7 million is for the supply of 18 soundproof units to a hospital group. The second order is for an 800 kVA Genset for the new extension to the Johannesburg Country Club in Woodmead.
