The SSE Group is proud to represent Sagem in South Africa as a partner in M2M GPRS/Edge technologies.
Sagem Communications, a member of the multibillion Euro Safran Group based in France, is introducing into the South African market its new range of M2M GPRS and Edge modems.
Sagem has identified the South African market for its rapidly growing development in products utilising GPRS and Edge technologies for machine-to-machine communications.
More and more electronic devices are communicating with each other on GSM networks. M2M data traffic is fast approaching the rates currently experienced by voice services on the GSM network and is set to overtake it in the next couple of years. Vehicle tracking, security, utilities metering and point-of-sales industries are some of the major players in this fast growing market.
Sagem is launching products that will bring compact, reliable and powerful devices to GPRS developers in South African companies. This includes GPRS/Edge modules, Edge modules with embedded GPS and Linux open source programmability.
