IAC is the local agent for Mobotix AG, a German company focused on the development of products with built-in intelligence, incorporating, among other functionality, sensors, two-way communications and high-resolution images.
"Technology cannot solve the crime issue, but when used efficiently it can assist in controlling and managing it," says Burg van der Westhuizen, CEO of Industrial Automation and Control (IAC). "As has been proven in other countries as well as in high-crime areas, such as the Johannesburg city centre, a well-designed surveillance solution can cut crime dramatically, allowing police resources to be put to better use."
Interested parties will be able to learn about Mobotix systems direct from the company from 18 to 29 February when IAC will be hosting senior delegates from Mobotix who will make themselves available to potential customers and systems integrators during a roadshow with two open days to be held at IAC's Midrand premises on 18 and 19 February. A more formal breakfast will also be held at The St George Hotel on 20 February.
