September 99 Surveillance

Sensormatic has launched its new Hyperscan Version 2.3, a PC-based remote CCTV monitoring system that will operate over PSTN, ISDN, cellular, RF and satellite data links.

The Hyperscan PC system consists of a digital picture transmitter and a PC based receiver loaded with proprietary software. Each transmitter can accommodate 4,7,11,13 and 16 cameras. With further additions, this can be expanded to 256 cameras per site with each site having full control of Sensormatic Ultra dome cameras on the site. A total of 512 sites can be accommodated.

New features of Hyperscan include.

p Automatic guard tours.

p Increased storage for prealarm events.

p Multiple receiver site dealing capability.

p Configurable resolution for the alarm events.

p Configurable alarm input polarity.

With its Windows based picture management, Hyperscan can enlarge and enhance any image area for identification purposes, then annotate and fax it anywhere.

"These improvements to Hyperscan make it easier to use, while maintaining its position as the most popular and technologically advanced long-distance CCTV system available," said Al Cavagnero, General Manager of Sensormatic Video Products Division.
