A platform for effective traffic management systems has been designed and developed by Protoclea Advanced Image Engineering.

The Argus is a proactive, powerful tool to manage traffic, offering a fully integrated management platform and incorporating critical technology such as intelligent video surveillance (IVS) software and sophisticated automatic number plate recognition (ANPR).

The platform presents traffic authorities with a number of key capabilities, including: automatic creation of speeding and moving offence tickets; timely presentation of accurate, high quality information; detection of variances in traffic behaviour; control of variable road/highway signage; seamless mixing of digital and analog products, CCTV and HDTV; and seamless integration with vehicle information system databases.

Applications for the Argus traffic management platform include: general traffic command and control; the monitoring and management of traffic flow, incidents and accidents; overall traffic surveillance and the active policing of lawbreakers.
