Impro Technologies presents its new ImproX ECII Ethernet Controller. The ImproX ECII has an embedded ARM920T Microprocessor Core operating at 200 million instructions per second allowing for a speed increase of more than 20 times faster than its predecessors. Controller host communications are now at 10/100 Mbps using UDP Unicast protocol. The new queuing system in the ImproNet Engine Software enables faster upload and download times.
The ImproX ECII has full off-line functionality with backup for up to six hours. This is now possible due to the incorporated 6 V sealed lead acid battery.
In the event of input power failure or low battery, the controller sends a reporting signal to the user. A memory increase of up to eight times that of previous controllers gives the new ImproX ECII a storage capacity of up to 300 000 tagholders and up to 1 000 000 buffered transactions.
