New York - Bosch Security Systems is on a clear course for growth. In the 2006 fiscal year, sales increased by 37% to $1,7 billion. For the first time, these figures include sales by Telex Communications Holdings, USA and TeleAlarm Group, Switzerland, both of which were acquired in 2006. The Security Systems Division currently employs approximately 10 300 associates.
Internal growth in Bosch Security Systems was approximately 8% and was sustained by all regions. The highest sales increase was achieved in Asia, with 23%. This was made possible by adapting the product range to Asian requirements and through large-scale security equipment installations - such as fire detection technology and electro-acoustic systems at the Asia World-Expo Conference Center in Hong Kong, the public address system at Bangkok Airport and the access control system at the Kasikornbank in Thailand.
The call centre business has also contributed to the growth of Bosch Security Systems. With approximately 31 million calls in 2006, the Bosch Communication Center increased its volume of calls by 24% compared to the previous year. It has 10 branches in Germany, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Spain and India.
