At just one cm diameter and 15 cm long, the Ex-Penlite from Wolf Safety is the slimmest lighting device certified for safe use in gassy hazardous areas.
Approval is compliant with the new ATEX, Explosive Atmospheres Directive 94/9/EC and therefore has a product life long after mid-2003, when CE marking to the Directive becomes mandatory in the European Union.
The innovative Ex-Penlite weighs just 60 g with cells, has a brass body with satin-plated finish, a threaded lens cap with plastic lens, removable for bulb and battery replacement. A pushbutton switch is fitted on the end for easy, single-handed operation. A pen clip is also incorporated in the design, allowing the Ex-Penlite to be securely retained in a pocket and also preventing it from rolling off a surface. Electrostatic hazards are avoided with the use of a metal body.
