Identix's BioLogon now offers a security pack that adds protection for PC applications and functions within. BioShield provides protection for applications, menus and buttons while automating repetitive typing.
As an example, if the systems administrator does not want User X to be able to print documents, she simply drags the BioShield icon over the print button and the function is secured for that user. Additionally, a password protected application, such as Internet Explorer, can be configured to remember a password which is inserted automatically when the specific user's finger is presented and verified.
BioSafe protects valuable files and folders by using encryption and fingerprint verification for access. Groups of files and/or folders, called 'safes', can be kept to a single user, shared among workgroups or emailed to recipients. However, only authorised and positively verified users can 'unlock' the files.
BioLogon gives administrators the capability to control user access, workstations, domain servers and user groups as to where, when and how users access data within the enterprise. Features include network management and policies, the ability to set user and workstation security policies individually and an event log for audit trail.
