February 2001 Access Control & Identity Management

The K8 manual card printer is a new generation of small desktop monochrome card printer to print text, photos, logos and bar codes using three different thermal printing technologies, ie thermal transfer, direct thermal, and direct thermal rewritable. K8 offers high resolution 300 dpi printing on multithickness PVC, ABS, PET, thermochromic erasable and rewritable cards from 0,3 up to 0,8 mm (,01" to ,03"), without any special tuning. Four resident fonts, four resident bar codes and all Windows bitmap fonts and bar codes are available. Switching from one printing technology to another is driven by software.

Easy to use for many applications

K8's Windows driver allows easy access to the printer from most of Windows' applications. K8 is suitable for access control cards, ID cards, membership and many other applications.
