The AXIS 2401 video server delivers high-quality, Motion-JPEG images at a rate of up to 30 frames per second. It provides a comprehensive single-box solution for video transmission over any data network including local, wide-area networks and even over the Internet. Connecting directly to 10/100 Mbps Ethernet networks, it enables any computer to view live video images from hundreds of video servers. The 2401 can control one pan/tilt/zoom camera.

User-friendly networking

The AXIS 2401 video server is easily installed and networked by connecting it to the video source, attaching the video server to a network and assigning it a network address. The only viewing software needed is the freely available Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Axis True Web-based administration tools include several user-sensitive guides, allowing users to quickly tailor-design their application. Users can choose from several applications; pre/post alarm storage and pan/tilt/zoom control are but a few of the built-in features available.
