The system consists of a main control unit and remote receiver powered by the control unit. The control unit is also equipped with battery backup. It recognises and receives signals transmitted by up to 4000 panic buttons.
It only recognises signals it has been programmed to recognise. Real date and time stamped. When the button is pressed a warning alarm sounds and the unit number displayed to alert the security personnel, matron or other response staff.
The system can interface with a printer and a computer for further enhancement such as names, addresses and contact details.
