RDC's Early Response Unit is an in-car monitoring system which allows alarm signals to be sent directly to response vehicles. Customer details are instantly available to the reaction officer, allowing the officer to react immediately to critical signals, cutting out the time it takes for the control room to process the message.
The mobile base system comprises two units: a 'built for purpose' integrated receiver/decoder unit mounted in the boot of a sedan or behind/underneath the seat of a utility vehicle. This part of the system connects to a standard external Zara 130 Whip antenna. The second part of the system, the display unit, is mounted onto the dashboard of the vehicle. The two units are connected by means of a 6-core cable, and may be separated to a maximum length of 10 metres.
