The 647-40 fingerprint reader is easily integrated with both new and existing ProxNet installations. At each fingerprint access point the user will place his finger onto the sensor and ProxNet will check the access rights, allow or deny access and log the transaction.
The fingerprint reader software is easy to use and has a quick enrol facility. The fingerprint templates can be sent via RS485 network to all connected readers and each fingerprint reader can store 4000 fingerprint templates.
The RF sensor reads the live fingerprint pattern just below the dry outer layer of the finger. This makes the sensor capable of acquiring almost everyone's fingerprint under virtually any condition. The sensor has a MTTF (mean time to failure) rate of 19,2 per million hours and the sensor surface itself has been tested to well over 1,3 million rubs.
ProxNet is distributed by Elvey International.
