Marshall International has launched what is believed to be the world's smallest digital low cost video camera and audio recorder. It is a single unit weighing only 52 g.

The PV-500 records video at 720x480 super-high resolution based on MPEG4 compression on SD memory. The 1-4 Gb memory cards provide approximately 70-280 minutes of recording. It will provide approximately 70 minutes of recording per 1 GB.

The unit is small and compact enough to fit into a standard packet of cigarettes and has a 2,4" TFT LCD NTSC/PAL display.

It includes a USB 2.0 port and the camera has a DC 5 V 500 mA power supply.
