With its Windows-based WIN3295 access control system, Simplex offers small to mid-sized security customers a highly functional and cost-effective software package.
A low-end to mid-range system that functions with a single workstation, the WIN3295 access control system is designed to meet the requirements of single-site facilities with less than 4000 employees and fewer than 64 doors to control. Easy to instal and simple to operate, WIN3295 is a price-effective complement to Simplex's higher-end NT 3400 security management information system. WIN3295 is an ideal solution in smaller applications where multiple workstation and networking capabilities are not needed.
WIN3295 allows users to control and monitor access control equipment and cardholders from a Windows 95/98-based computer. WIN3295 comes 'bundled' with a PC or can be sold as software only. Each system is shipped with an integral video imaging system which allows capture of images via a variety of industry standard means ie digital camera, scanner or file using .BMP, .JPG formats, etc, thus providing an extremely cost-effective ID solution to those companies which take security seriously. The display of the images may be called up manually or initiated from a variety of user defined system events thus providing an image verification facility for high security areas. With the addition of a video badging printer, WIN3295 can become a fully integrated access control/video badging system.
WIN3295 supports most computers on the Microsoft Windows 95/98 hardware compatibility list, providing customers with flexibility when choosing the hardware platform on which the software will run. The system's standard Windows graphical user interface (GUI) components, such as scroll bars, check boxes, option buttons and drop-down list boxes, make the WIN3295 application easy to learn and use.
Other features of the WIN3295 system include:
Cardholder locate: The last access transaction for each cardholder automatically appears within the cardholder's record. This allows operators to quickly track the location of each cardholder.
Breakthrough alarm notification: Breakthrough alarms allow the WIN3295 software to interrupt the operation of another Windows program, and thus alert a system operator to a situation that may compromise security.
Image history: By double clicking on any card reader event, an operator can automatically retrieve the image of the cardholder associated with that event.
Image posting: WIN3295 allows images to be posted to a cardholder's database record from standard sources, such as a video input or the Windows 95/98 clipboard.
Data mining: This feature allows operators to quickly find and view data and events contained within the system's database or historical archives.
Automated back-up: With WIN3295, system configuration, cardholder database and event archive files are routinely archived to a folder on the hard drive, thus allowing easy data transfer to external media.
