GE Security presents a remote video solution that is accessible any time, anywhere and is designed for one or multiple sites. The basic rule is: if an Internet connection of any kind is available, users can connect to their site(s), view live video, control mobile cameras and playback recorder sequences.
Due to its configuration possibilities, the Fast Video Server can be connected to the normal telephone line, ISDN, ADSL, GSM/GPRS and a virtual private network.
This flexibility makes it possible to monitor numerous small sites very effectively.
The Fast Video Server can be also linked to an existing alarm system. This alarm system will trigger the right video input and a sequence of alarm images will be compressed and sent to the monitoring centre, PC, PDA or a laptop. An SMS can also be sent to a cellular phone.
A proprietary recording architecture permits the Fast Video Server simultaneous recording and transmission of multiple video channels, at variable resolution, over many types of networks.
The server uses its proprietary software algorithm for optimised MPEG4 compressed video. This enables it to maintain high-resolution video streaming without sacrificing quality over cellular networks. The GE Security Central Server deals with the connections over the Internet by rerouting users to their Fast Video Server(s). Low-cost ADSL lines do not use fixed network addresses and are updated on a regular basis. The Central Server links users to the actual network addresses of the Fast Video Server they wish to connect to.
Live pictures and recordings of internal and external cameras at users' property can be checked from anywhere in the world. Users may connect their PC, laptop, PDA or Smartphone to the Internet and connect to their Fast Video Server.
The GE Security alarm panels from the ATS-Master and CS-X75 range communicate with the Fast Video server. Alarm clips are stored and made available for alarm verification.
Alarm verification offers users technical, fire or burglar alarm information together with the video sequence. The system will warn you when an unusual event is happening.
