Mobile event CCTV control

October 2005 Surveillance

Video Domain recently released portable CCTV control room software that can monitor four Neteye eight camera systems simultaneously, that is up to 32 cameras. The Neteye remote monitoring CCTV units can operate on GSM, IP or PSTN platforms making it a feasible option for even the most remote stadia. Small localised groups of cameras sending their pictures back live by GSM or IP means there is no need to wire up complete stadia, and the installation can be taken down after the event.

The control room has all the enhanced sophisticated features that security staff might need. This includes PTZ controls for each camera, including wiper controls, remote switching for each camera for remote control of gates and doors and two-way voice communication that could be connected into localised PA systems for localised crowd control.

There is no question that in an emergency 'a picture tells a thousand words'. The event security head can now see the complete picture. He can ignore untrained panic messages on the radio and put the problem into perspective so that the correct actions can take place.

Neteye is distributed by Emergency Reaction Services.
