Port Elizabeth based Armstrong Hydraulics has selected the local Kaba Benzing partner, Total Access, for its new access control and time and attendance system, specifically for its integration into the company's SAP HR application.
"Having extensively studied a host of potential suppliers, it became apparent that Kaba Benzing offered a superior certified software interface with the most advanced hardware on the market today," said Tim Lane, MD of Armstrong. Added Lane, "We will be linking two other subsidiaries in remote locations via a WAN in a manner in which Kaba Benzing have extensive experience".
Total Access development Engineer, Carlos de Gouveia said, "We are delighted with our first project utilising Kaba Benzing B-COMM for R/3 software, and our proximity cards using KABA's pioneered contactless identification technology, LEGIC.
This undoubtedly will have many benefits for the Armstrong company as LEGIC's read/write capabilities offer multiple applications within a single card. With our maintenance agreement, all future software upgrades guarantee up to date software versions for its operating system, making the installation truly obsolete proof and forward compatible," he said.
