DEHN's DPL range of plug-in surge arresters is designed for protecting communication and signalling systems terminated on Krone LSA disconnection blocks.
The DPL 10F units are suited for 10 twisted pairs, ADSL, ISDN, 12 V, 24 V, 110 V, analog or digital systems, PABX and telecommunications signals. They can withstand surge currents of up to 10 kA, depending on the application, and are directly self-earthing to the Krone back-frame.
The telecommunications version has zero series impedance, and therefore does not add any additional loss to the line. Its slim format overcomes the problem often experienced with this type of unit that it cannot fit into standard Telkom distribution boxes or small PABXs and the additional earth point is side mounted.
An additional feature includes a push-on earth wire, and single units are also available for single twisted pairs.
DEHN is represented locally by Surge Technology.
