The Psi-Rite adapter from Impro locates onto the popular Psion Workabout to create an efficient asset management tool to the office, factories, hospitals, universities and industry.
At the heart of this compact tool is a handheld computer complete with graphics screen and full alphanumeric keyboard. Simple software tools enable the user to customise the program to suit any asset management need and record, alter, store and download via RS232 serial interface to or from a host computer system.
Using either cost-conscious read-only, or feature-full read-write tags, the user can store up to 2048 bits of data (256 characters) of information directly onto the tag (depending on the tag type), affixed directly to the product. The range of tags include minute glass tubes; hard, slim epoxy discs; soft, flexible label tags; large, tough polyurethane rings; tubular ferrite rod and special customised tags to meet the specific need.
