V-serve 100 is a hardware device which provides a simple and cost-effective way of digitising, recording and distributing high quality live (or recorded) video across standard TCP/IP networks to a viewer's desktop PC - where images can be viewed live or replayed using a standard web browser.
Key features
V-serve 100 is a self-contained, IP addressable, network appliance which multiplexes, captures, compresses, stores and web-serves video from up to 16 standard composite video sources, over a LAN, WAN or the Internet.
The basic V-serve 100 hardware and software environment supports:
* Variable rate video multiplexing, to cost-effectively manage multiple video inputs and their associated data storage requirements.
* Twin video codecs, for simultaneous image viewing and recording from up to 16 individual composite video sources.
* User-definable compressed images (pixels and file sizes) for both recording and viewing, including the ability to dynamically vary viewed file sizes in order to maximise image update rates over a network.
* Basic alarm/external trigger integration with an associated event database.
V-serve 100 is also capable of running/integrating with a range of third party or bespoke server/client software in order to address specific customer requirements. User data can also be form submitted over a LAN and incorporated in image headers for user database integration.
