Hands-free long range RFID reader

May 2005 Access Control & Identity Management

GSC Systems has added a 'hands-free' long range RFID reader to its product range.

The reader is compatible with GSC's range of contactless proximity cards and tags, and offers reading distances of up to 1 metre. The reader is easily integrated with new and existing ProxNet installations. The unit is fully weatherproofed and therefore particularly suitable for outdoor use like access control, vehicle access or for reading through walls.

It also offers selectable output formats for simple integration into other access systems.

The hands free reader is distributed by Elvey International.
