The Bandit Intertrac stolen vehicle recovery system, which has only been on the market for one and a half years, recently became the fourth system to be awarded Full Approval by VESA, the Vehicle Security Association of South Africa. The other systems are Tracker, Netstar and Matrix.
VESA approved companies must have a minimum number of clients, a proven track record and have been operational for a specific period. They must also have sufficient infrastructure and security clearance for all staff directly involved in the tracking process.
Announcing the award, Conroy Oosthuizen, Managing Director of VESA, said: "Bandit's consistent 80% plus performance and the achievement of other vital criteria in our specification convinced our evaluators that the company has the equipment, experience and infrastructure to look after the interests of consumers and other stakeholders."
