i002, a focused UK developer of anti-money laundering software, is hoping to source a South African partner for its product, which is aimed at small to medium sized banks, building societies, bond facilitators, credit agencies and co-operative banks.
The software is the latest tool on offer to prevent money laundering activities, comprising integrated anti-money laundering functionality with core banking functionality. The software performs all the daily accounting functions in multicurrency mode taking care of reserve bank rules for example, it also has 'photo-signature' features. In addition to offering Front Office features, the software also caters to Back Office activities such as producing daily routine reports.
The advantage of this software is that the teller has only to view the data as flashed up on the screen, with the system having pre-set parameters to detect money laundering or other illegal financial transactions, the teller is merely required to call a supervisor for authorisation to process the transaction.
Users of the software also have low financial overheads on technical support as the client's normal staff can be quickly trained to handle routine functions of the system.
The software is exceptionally user-friendly, easy to install and economical. Optional extras such as connectivity will be made to South African clients by i002's South African partners.
