The newest addition to Eagle Technology's range of digital video recording products is the E-Lyra. This is a handheld embedded recorder with integrated HDD, LCD screen and battery pack. It has a standard composite video and audio input via a 2,5 mm socket.

Any of Eagle Technology's standard covert cameras can be used with this recorder. Three different recording quality levels can be configured, allowing between 25 and 80 hours of recording. The internal lithium-ion battery powers the recorder for approximately three hours.

Full control of the unit is via an easy to use menu. Clips are stored on the unit and can be played back via the AV output or via the onboard LCD video display. One can also connect the unit to a PC via USB 2.0 and play the clips with a standard video-for-windows application.

Clips are stored in an .AVI format. A wide range of accessories is included with the product including cables, a carry case, a charger and a cigarette-lighter car adaptor.
