RedPay has been awarded a contract from the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) to provide the security solution for all non-SWIFT data traffic flowing through the SARB-Link interbank settlement network. The SARB-Link network connects the South African settlement banks to the SARB National Payment System and is used to manage the routing and delivery of settlement instructions and other position related information between the participating banks and the SAMOS realtime gross settlement (RTGS) system hosted at the SARB.
RedPay is an Electronic Payments Security (EPSec) company that is tightly focused in this specialist area. RedPay comprises a number of industry experts and is led by managing director Luc de Graeve who is well known in the security industry.
Says de Graeve, "We are extremely pleased to have been awarded this contract. It puts RedPay firmly on the map, as there can be few more creditable clients then the SARB, and the SARB-Link network is of key national importance. The solution being deployed is state-of-the-art, and uses a PKI infrastructure together with the latest encryption and authentication technology."
RedPay offers a range of services including system architecture and design, verification/auditing of existing solutions, RFI/RFP generation, vendor selection, program management, ad-hoc consulting, and training on EPSec related matters.
